Silversea Cruises has unveiled details of the upcoming refurbishment of the Silver Endeavour. Following a successful inaugural season in Antarctica, Silversea’s newest expedition ship will enter the San Giorgio del Porto shipyard in Genoa, Italy, on April 3, 2023, emerging with enhancements that will elevate the onboard and expedition experiences for guests. Silversea will create six new superior suites, introducing two new suite categories that will further immerse travelers in their destination.
“The refurbishment of Silver Endeavour will further solidify its status as the world’s most luxurious expedition ship,” said Roberto Bruzzone, Silversea’s Senior Vice President of Marine Operations. “Building on the success of its inaugural Antarctic season, Silver Endeavour will welcome travelers to the Arctic from June 2023, offering deeper connections and a greater range of destinations than ever before.”
10 new suites, including 6 superior suites in two new categories
Replacing the old helicopter hangar amidships, Silversea will install two Master Suites and four Signature Suites, introducing two new suite categories to expand guest accommodation options. To starboard on deck five, four Classic Veranda Suites will replace the Medical Center, which will relocate to the space currently occupied by the Casino on deck four.
– Master Suites
The Silver Endeavour 's two new Master Suites offer uninterrupted 270-degree views from their 29 m² terraces and spacious living areas. The two 108 m² master suites feature expansive living and dining areas, as well as perfectly proportioned bedrooms with either double or twin beds and a dressing room, along with a spacious en-suite bathroom with a shower and separate whirlpool tub. The living room will include a sofa bed to accommodate a third guest.
– Signature Suites
Four new Signature Suites, ranging from 67to 78 squaremeters, will welcome guests into a spacious and luxurious setting, featuring an open-plan living and dining area; a large bedroom with floor-to-ceiling windows and a walk-in closet; and an en-suite bathroom with a spacious shower and a whirlpool tub. The living area will include a convertible sofa to accommodate a third guest, as well as floor-to-ceiling glass doors offering sweeping views. The expansive terraces, ranging from 16to 25 square meters, will provide ideal spaces for guests to relax and admire the surrounding landscape.
– Classic Veranda Suites
Four Classic Veranda Suites of 33m2 will include a 5m2 veranda and will welcome guests with the company's signature level of comfort.
Following its refurbishment in Genoa, the Silver Endeavour will make two voyages to the British Isles and Iceland, before embarking on its inaugural Arctic season from June 3, with nine voyages that will include many of the polar region's most remote destinations, such as Pond Inlet, Cape York and Qaanaaq, among others.
