The Valletta cruise port recently celebrated its 20th anniversary with a party in the historic Magazino Hall.
Stephen Xuereb, Chief Operating Officer of Global Ports Holding Plc and Chief Executive Officer of Valletta Cruise Port plc, said: “I am very proud to have been part of this company since its inception and to have led it for the past eight years! It was a great honor to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Valletta Cruise Port! A special thank you to all colleagues, past and present, Directors, Shareholders of Global Ports Holding, AX Group, and Excelcior Hotel Floriana, and all stakeholders in our industry. May the cruise industry continue to flourish!”
During the event, 19 employees who have provided 10, 15 and 20 years of service to the company received a gift in appreciation of their loyalty and commitment.
Guests enjoyed a photo exhibition by Davide Degano, which displayed pictures of the Valletta Cruise Project, in what was formerly the engine room of Malta's first Power House, open exclusively at night.
Attendees also received an individually numbered and signed print of a painting commissioned by local artist Jacqueline Agius of the Valletta seafront.
