Helsinki Shipyard, after receiving bids for the auction of the ship, announced today that Swan Hellenic has won the bid in a process similar to that of its previous ship.
Helsinki Shipyard exercised its right to sell the vessel through a public auction, as stipulated in the shipbuilding contract, after the original buyer failed to take delivery. The auction concluded at midnight on Friday, December 9, and was successful for Helsinki Shipyard, which reviewed the bids and declared Swan Hellenic the winner.
The shipyard and Swan Hellenic will now sign a new agreement to complete the ship, which is scheduled for delivery to Swan Hellenic in March 2023, in time to begin expedition cruises in the Mediterranean starting in early April.
