The Seabourn Venture is now a reality. The new ultra-luxury ship from Seabourn Cruises—part of Carnival Corporation—has doubled down on its commitment to luxury expeditions, breathtaking itineraries, and unparalleled guest service and attention.
The christening ceremony is scheduled for November 7, on an 18-day voyage to the Chilean fjords and Antarctica, sailing from San Antonio (Santiago, Chile) to Buenos Aires (Argentina).
In this sense, the ultra-luxury expedition ship, Seabourn Venture, wants to pay tribute to the different remote destinations visited by the brand's successful expedition branch and the Ventures by Seabourn excursion programs.
The ship will set sail from Reykjavik on August 21st, making several stops along the way, exploring Iceland and Greenland until September 4th, with days of indescribably beautiful sailing. Between November and February, it will sail to Antarctica, and in March and April 2023, it will head to Brazil and the Amazon, continuing its expedition cruise offerings where passengers can navigate the Amazon River in Zodiacs and visit historical sites and indigenous communities.
American mountaineer Alison Levine is the godmother of this new and innovative ship. An elite athlete who has led climbs to the highest peaks on every continent, she captained the first all-American women's expedition to Everest in 2002.
A motivational speaker and leadership consultant, she is the author of the book On the Edge: The Art of High Impact. A clear statement of intent and perfectly aligned with the project launched by Seabourn.
Featuring a completely new and innovative design, the vessel was built by the Italian shipyard T. Mariotti. It is also a PC6 ice class vessel —the highest category for polar cruise ships—certified for navigating polar waters.
It also features 132 suites with oceanfront terraces and the exciting addition of two state-of-the-art submarines transported on board, in order to provide the passenger with an unforgettable experience.
In addition, all kinds of double kayaks, mountain and electric bikes will be transported on board, as well as 24 zodiacs designed to offer passengers a fully immersive experience at the destination.
It is worth noting that the wide range of expedition activities offered are led by a team of 26 experts, such as scientists, academics or naturalists, whose interaction is constant and the guest will be able to enjoy talks on board and unique experiences in places that can only be accessed by sea.
