Construction of Icon of the Seas is underway in Turku, Finland. The company has released a video showing the 175-ton sphere being placed on the ship after four days of preparation and one day of transport.
Currently, at 14 meters high and about 15 meters in diameter, the structure is wrapped in a protective material, ready for its next phase of construction.
The Icon of the Seas, the cruise line's highly anticipated new ship, will make its debut in the fall of 2023 with new facilities and those that have already become favorites, setting a new standard for vacation enjoyment.
