Guests traveling aboard Silver Whisper arrived in Copenhagen on May 22, marking the end of the Tale of Tales World Cruise, the only ultra-luxury round-the-world cruise to have operated in 2022.
Roberto Martinoli, Silversea's Chairman and CEO, and Barbara Muckermann, Silversea's Chief Commercial Officer, bid farewell to guests at a gala dinner in Oslo's historic Gamle Logen on May 18, celebrating the end of the cruise. Over 138 days, the travelers explored 62 destinations in 30 countries across six continents, visiting locations as diverse as Antarctica and Iceland, Turkey and South Africa, and South Georgia and the Seychelles.

Seven celebrated creatives, Tale Tellers, joined Silversea guests aboard the Silver Whisper during the 2022 world cruise, enriching the experience with presentations and interacting with guests on the voyage:
- Nicholas Crane, former president of the Royal Geographical Society;
- Pico Iyer, global essayist, novelist and travel writer;
- Mónica Hanna, an internationally acclaimed figure in the world of archaeology;
- Eamonn Gearon, renowned author, analyst and historian;
- Steve McCurry, an iconic voice in contemporary photography for more than three decades;
- Asma Khan, a celebrated chef, restaurant owner, and author of several cookbooks;
- Christina Franco, pioneering explorer, guide and winner of the Polar Race.
“Meeting up with old friends on the World Cruise, making new ones, and hearing the wonderful stories that almost every guest and crew member had to offer was a delight once again,” Pico Iyer stated.
Guests enjoyed a special range of exclusive shore excursions and tailor-made World Cruise events in Fort Lauderdale; Cartagena, Colombia; Cape Town, South Africa; Seville, Spain; and Oslo, Norway
Following high demand for its World Cruises, the company will soon share details about its 2025 sailings. Briefly introduced by Barbara Muckermann at the farewell gala dinner, the World Cruise 'Controtempo' will set sail in January 2025. Silversea guests will experience familiar destinations in a whole new light, with immersive moments tailored by the company's destination experts.
