Seabourn announces that adventurer, mountaineer, and polar explorer Alison Levine will be the godmother of the Seabourn Venture, the first of the line's two new ultra-luxury expedition ships. Levine will participate in the ship's traditional christening ceremony, which will be launched in July 2022.

Levine is an ideal choice to be the godmother of the Seabourn Venture. Born in Phoenix, she captained the team of the first All-American Expedition to Everest in 2002, and in 2010 completed her Explorers' Grand Slam, which includes climbing the Seven Summits—the highest peak on each continent—as well as skiing to the North and South Poles. In 2019, she received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, an award she shares with seven U.S. presidents and numerous Nobel laureates.
Levine has also shared his experiences, knowledge, and adventure stories with Seabourn guests through Seabourn Conversations, the line's onboard enrichment program, aboard the Seabourn Sojourn in December 2019.
The Seabourn Venture and its sister expedition ship, the Seabourn Pursuit, will feature 132 luxurious veranda suites and take travelers to some of the world's most breathtaking locations, some of which are only accessible by ship.
