Costa Cruises continues with its phased restart plan for 2022. On March 5, the new Costa Toscanawill set sail on its maiden voyage. From then on, the company plans to gradually incorporate the rest of its ships, joining those already sailing. This summer, the entire fleet will resume operations, along with the four new ships delivered in recent months—Costa Toscana, Costa Smeralda, Costa Firenze, and Costa Venezia—deployed in the Mediterranean. Furthermore, the company plans to resume independent shore excursions this summer and, given the gradual easing of current restrictions, is working to implement them this spring.
Costa's program includes a total of more than 1,800 cruises from spring 2022 to winter 2022-23, allowing guests to discover 179 destinations worldwide, with itineraries ranging from 3 to 127 days in length. All of these cruises will feature the new product innovations the company has been working on in recent months, with a new range of shore excursions and an outstanding culinary offering featuring world-class chefs.

Following the Costa Toscana, Costa's restart program includes the Costa Favolosa, the Costa Venezia, and the Costa Smeralda. The Costa Pacifica will resume operations on June 4, and two-week cruises to the Canary Islands and the Azores will be operated by the Costa Luminosa, while the Costa Fortuna will return to service in Northern Europe on June 12.
After the winter season in South America, the Costa Diadema will also return to the Mediterranean, as will the Costa Fascinosa. Returning from the Caribbean, the Costa Deliziosa will resume its Mediterranean cruises from April 15, while the Costa Firenze will arrive in Genoa on April 7 to begin its cruise program in Spain, Italy, and France.
In the summer of 2022, the Costa Smeralda and Costa Toscana, along with the Costa Firenze, will offer week-long cruises in the Western Mediterranean, while the Costa Venezia will continue its new itinerary to Turkey and Greece. The Costa Pacifica, Costa Deliziosa, and Costa Luminosa will operate week-long cruises in the Eastern Mediterranean. Four ships—the Costa Fortuna, Costa Favolosa, Costa Fascinosa, and Costa Diadema—will be deployed in Northern Europe, visiting the Baltic capitals, the Norwegian fjords, the North Cape, and Iceland.
Costa's program will also be very extensive in the winter of 2022-23. Starting next winter, Costa's grand voyages will also return. The Costa Deliziosa will offer the World Cruise, departing from Venice on January 6, 2023, or from Savona on January 11, 2023.
