For the first time in the history of luxury cruises, Vigo will become a port of embarkation for voyages to Alaska. On May 4, 2022, the fortunate Spanish and Portuguese passengers of the Queen Elizabeth will depart for Alaska, arriving a month later at Glacier Bay to admire one of the most breathtaking and untamed regions on Earth.
To do this, the Queen Elizabeth will have had to cross the Atlantic; reach the Caribbean to stop at two of its islands; cross the greatest engineering feat, the Panama Canal; skirt the west coast of America, with stops in Costa Rica, Mexico, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Vancouver in Canada; and finally make a 7-day itinerary through the Alaskan Interior Passage, visiting 4 iconic towns and making two scenic cruises among glaciers.
On July 11th, the cruise can be taken in reverse, embarking in Vancouver and arriving in Barcelona on August 22nd after a 43-day voyage.
On these unique journeys, passengers can enjoy a sailing experience reminiscent of the golden age of transatlantic travel, true to the British style of the iconic Cunard Line.
