Politours has signed an exclusive marketing agreement in Spain and Latin America with the Swiss cruise line Navibelle Cruises. Navibelle is one of the most prestigious European cruise lines. Its vessels, refurbished in 2020, are classified as high-end 4- and 5-anchor ships with a capacity for up to 150 passengers—true floating boutique hotels that offer the utmost luxury and comfort for a unique onboard experience.
Their boats are designed to meet the highest sustainability standards in order to achieve more sustainable and environmentally friendly river tourism, one of the commitments that Politours has set for itself in its new phase.
Navibelle's fleet incorporates energy-efficient Tier 2 engines that provide a quieter and more environmentally friendly propulsion system, reducing pollution and saving fuel. Water and energy conservation are paramount on all their vessels, including "smart cabin" systems and bright, efficient LED lighting. Furthermore, their vessels adhere to a waste treatment and recycling system that meets stringent European Union standards.
The river cruise division is one of the tour operator's major focuses, and it anticipates that 30% of its business will come from this area. To achieve this, Politours has appointed Jordi Julià as Director of Politours River Cruises, the wholesaler's river cruise division, a key figure in the cruise business for the Spanish and Latin American markets. His achievements include leading Politours River Cruises' expansion into Latin America with the opening of new markets in Colombia, Puerto Rico, Ecuador, Florida, Panama, and Costa Rica, and adapting the cruises to the Latin American market.
In its new phase, the tour operator already has several cruises scheduled around Europe with departures starting in April.
