MSC Cruises has announced its 2022/2023 winter program, which will feature 21 ships sailing to more than 190 destinations in 85 different countries. Itineraries range from mini-cruises to 118-night voyages through the Middle East, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, South America, and South Africa.
MSC Cruises will launch two new ships next winter season: the MSC World Europa, the company’s first LNG-powered ship and the first of a new class of ships. The MSC World Europa will be based in Doha during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ and will then offer cruises calling at Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sir Bani Yas (UAE), Doha (Qatar), and Dammam (Saudi Arabia), beginning with a mini-cruise on December 20 before resuming its regular 7-night cruise schedule. The MSC Seascape will be the second ship launched next winter and the second of the company’s Seaside EVO class, offering two different 7-night Caribbean itineraries from PortMiami (USA).
Fernando Pacheco, Managing Director of MSC Cruises in Spain, highlights: “We are delighted to announce the 2022/2023 itinerary, in a year in which the entire MSC Cruises fleet will return to sea. The selection of itineraries and ships we offer our customers is increasingly varied. Furthermore, next January we will celebrate the departure from Barcelona of the two cruises that will circumnavigate the globe simultaneously for 118 nights, the MSC Magnifica and the MSC Poesia.
MSC Cruises will continue to strengthen and enrich its offerings in the Middle East with three ships. All itineraries from the Emirates and Saudi Arabia offer a Cruise + Flight option with departures from Madrid and Barcelona, in partnership with Emirates airline.
Four ships will sail the Caribbean and the Antilles: the MSC Seascape will begin its inaugural season from PortMiami, along with the MSC Meraviglia, MSC Divina, and MSC Seaside. The MSC Preziosa will sail in Northern Europe, and five ships will sail in Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay. The MSC Sinfonia and MSC Orchestra will operate in South Africa, offering itineraries that showcase stunning beaches and breathtaking landscapes. In addition, MSC Cruises will offer a rich and diverse selection in the Mediterranean Sea with three ships: the MSC Grandiosa, MSC Virtuosa, and MSC Lirica.
The MSC Magnifica and the MSC Poesia will sail on the MSC World Cruise 2023, both departing from Barcelona on January 7th. Spaces for the MSC Poesia are already sold out, but there is still availability on the MSC Magnifica.
Since August 2020, MSC Cruises passengers have been sailing under the protection of the industry-leading health and hygiene protocol, which has proven safe and effective throughout the evolution of the pandemic. Bookings for all voyages in the upcoming 2022-2023 winter season will be covered by the "Book with Confidence" program, offering safe, flexible, and enjoyable cruise holidays. Holidays aboard an MSC Cruises ship are only available to vaccinated passengers, and this will remain the case for winter 2022/2023.
