Royal Caribbean International has unveiled its 2023 European summer program, featuring nine ships visiting iconic destinations in more than 25 countries, from the Amalfi Coast to the Holy Land, as well as the British, Greek, Canary, and Adriatic islands. Starting in May 2023, travelers can experience the region's beauty on cruises ranging from 5 to 12 nights, visiting iconic locations such as Reykjavik, Iceland, and Tel Aviv, Israel, among others.
Travelers will be able to choose from 35 unique itineraries and a variety of ships:
• Odyssey of the Seas – Cruise from: Rome.
7- to 9-night cruises departing from Rome to Naples, Italy, and the idyllic Greek islands and Turkey, as well as 12-night Holy Land cruises to the historic and vibrant cities of Limassol, Cyprus; Ephesus (Kusadasi), Turkey; and Jerusalem, Israel. From the iconic whitewashed houses of Santorini, Greece, to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and the ruins of the ancient city of Ephesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a world of centuries past is at your fingertips.
• Symphony of the Seas – Cruise from: Barcelona and Rome.
Royal Caribbean’s current largest Oasis-class ship in the world will sail a 7-night cruise from Barcelona or Rome to destinations including Naples, Palma de Mallorca, Spain, and Provence, France. Whether exploring 14th-century castles and cathedrals in Mallorca or marveling at the Duomo in Florence, Italy, travelers can enjoy days filled with rich culture and history.
• Serenade of the Seas – Cruise from: Barcelona.
The Serenade will sail 8-night Western Mediterranean itineraries, 12-night Greek Islands cruises, and 5-night cruises to Italy and France. Beaches and rhythms await you in Ibiza, Spain, home of legendary electronic music, while the French Riviera offers a glamorous escape in iconic Cannes, France.
• Explorer of the Seas – Cruise from: Venice (Ravenna), Italy.
For the first time sailing from Ravenna, Italy, the Explorer will explore the Aegean Sea and visit Olympia, Greece, the birthplace of the Olympic Games, among a host of other picturesque destinations. The 7-night cruises will sail to the Greek islands and beyond to Mediterranean gems such as Kotor, Montenegro, and Chania, Crete.
• Brilliance of the Seas – Cruises from: Rome and Venice (Ravenna), Athens, Greece; and Barcelona, Spain.
With itineraries from Italy, Greece, and Spain, the Brilliance will offer a selection of four epic European cities to begin and complete your adventures in the Western Mediterranean, the Greek Islands, and the Adriatic Sea. The 7-night cruises will sail from Rome to Athens; Athens to Venice; Venice to Barcelona; and Barcelona to Rome. You will visit sites such as Diocletian's Palace in Split, Croatia, St. Mark's Basilica in Venice, and the Praetorian Palace in Koper, Slovenia.
• Rhapsody of the Seas – Cruise from: Haifa, Israel and Limassol, Cyprus.
The Rhapsody will be the first Royal Caribbean ship to sail from both Limassol and Haifa, Israel, all in one season. The new summer combo features 7-night cruises to ports of call in Turkey, Israel, and Greece, including first-time destinations for the cruise line such as Skiathos and Thessaloniki, Greece. Beginning in September, the ship will set sail on shorter 4- and 5-night getaways from Haifa, visiting Cyprus and the Greek islands.
• Anthem of the Seas – Cruise from: Southampton, England.
The Anthem will offer 7-night adventures in Spain and France, or the Norwegian fjords. Guests can visit new destinations on the Anthem, including Maloy and Haugesund, Norway, and Cork, Ireland. Longer 11- and 12-night vacations will venture further afield to places like Lisbon, Portugal; Vigo, Spain; and the Canary Islands.
• Voyager of the Seas – Cruise from: Copenhagen, Denmark and Stockholm, Sweden.
The Voyager returns to Northern Europe, sailing from Copenhagen, Denmark and Stockholm, Sweden, offering a combination of 7- to 11-night itineraries through Scandinavia, Estonia, and Russia. There will be breathtaking sights to behold, such as the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood in St. Petersburg, Russia, and the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Suomenlinna Fortress in Helsinki, Finland. Guests seeking a longer vacation can sail
from San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Copenhagen on a 14-night cruise that includes an overnight stay
in Bermuda and visits to St. Thomas, France, and Belgium.
• Jewel of the Seas – Cruise from: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Throughout the summer, the Jewel will be cruising round-trip from Amsterdam, Netherlands, welcoming travelers on 12-night cruises to the Arctic Circle, the British Isles, Iceland, and Ireland.
