The port of Castellón has welcomed the cruise ship Amera, carrying 597 German passengers and 426 crew members. The majority of the tourists, a total of 360, have booked excursions to Castelló, Vilafamés, Peñíscola, Benicàssim, and Valencia. The Municipal Tourism Board has provided two shuttle buses, each with a capacity of 50 passengers, throughout the day to facilitate visits to the city center.

The ship is 205 meters long, 32 meters wide and has a draft of 7.2 meters and set sail on November 6th from Monaco.
The president of the Port Authority of Castellón, Rafa Simó, has presented the traditional plaque to the ship's captain, Martin Ritting, as a memento of his visit to the port of Castellón.
This is the second cruise ship to arrive at PortCastelló this year, following the "Bolette," which docked last September. As on that occasion, the Port Authority of Castellón and the entities involved have followed the safety and prevention measures for handling cruise ships during the pandemic. These measures include maintaining social distancing, reducing physical contact, and reinforcing cleaning and disinfection protocols. In addition, a designated area has been set aside to isolate and monitor any suspected cases of the virus.
