The Port of Motril has received two cruise ships in the last 48 hours, since cruise ship calls in Spain resumed. The first was the Azamara Quest, from the Azamara Club Cruises company, with 381 passengers and 367 crew members on board. The ship, which was refurbished in 2007, features cabins and suites with verandas, seven restaurants, cafes, spacious lounges, and a swimming pool.

Of the total number of passengers who disembarked at the Dique dock early Monday morning, approximately 50 percent were offered a free bus service to visit and explore the city of Motril, while a similar number took excursions to Granada, the Alhambra, and the Alpujarras region. In Motril, the service was handled by CE Motril.
Meanwhile, yesterday, November 7th, the Hebridean Sky, part of the Premium segment, docked at the Poniente pier with a select group of 40 British passengers. Handled by Motril Shipping, it is the sister ship of the MS Island Sky. Both were built in Italy around the same time and share the same "excellent attributes" that make them among the best small ships in the world.
The president of the Motril Port Authority, José García Fuentes, highlighted the smooth resumption of the cruise season and affirmed that “Motril will continue working diligently and with dedication, adapting to the new circumstances and offering a nearby, friendly, authentic cruise destination with all the necessary safety guarantees.” The next cruise ship will arrive on November 19th.
