  • Reducing environmental impact. Through initiatives such as the creation of a long-term climate action strategy with the goal of achieving carbon neutrality, the commitment to offset three million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (MTCO2e)in three years, reducing single-use plastic bottles, and continuing to manage water by self-producing 83% of the water used on board in 2020.
  • Sailing safely, with the continued improvement of existing commitments in response to COVID-19 through enhanced protocols within the comprehensive SailSAFE health and safety program, and the formation of the Healthy Sail Panel of experts, in collaboration with Royal Caribbean Group, to help develop anti-pandemic standards for the cruise industry. In addition, the SailSAFE Global Health and Wellness Council, an in-house public health expert council, has been created to complement the work of the Healthy Sail Panel.
  • Empowering people. The company will continue to strengthen its commitment to maintaining a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace through various partnerships and initiatives. In Forbes' 2021 list of America's Best Companies, the company ranked among the top 75 overall large companies and among the top 10 travel and leisure companies.
  • Strengthening our communities with different measures, such as announcing a paid volunteer day for the ground team to support community engagement efforts, generous donations to various communities and associations severely affected by the pandemic situation, and recognizing the hardest-working teachers through the Giving Joy campaign.
  • Operating with integrity and responsibility. The establishment of ESG oversight at the Board of Directors level through the Technology, Environment, Safety and Security (TESS) Committee is a key feature. Furthermore, the Board of Directors embodies a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with one-third women, one-third from underrepresented minorities, and 55% diversity.
