Following the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) decision to extend its no-sail order for cruise operations, Carnival Cruise Line is notifying passengers and travel agents of the cancellation of cruises from all U.S. homeports, except Miami and Port Canaveral, for November and December 2020. While operations from Miami and Port Canaveral in November and December are not yet confirmed, Carnival is focusing on resuming service from those two homeports when possible.

Carnival continues to work on protocols and procedures to allow the resumption of cruise operations, with a gradual, phased approach, Miami and Port Canaveral being the first two embarkation ports. Cruises currently scheduled for November and December from these two embarkation ports will remain as planned for the time being while Carnival evaluates its options. However, the cruise line is offering guests who booked November and December cruises from Miami and Port Canaveral the option to voluntarily cancel their reservation and receive the same offer as all other affected guests, which includes a combination of future cruise credit and onboard credit, or a full refund.
“As we’ve said throughout this pause, our return to operations will be gradual and phased. Once cruising is permitted, we will focus our initial restart on the ports of Miami and Port Canaveral,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “The health and safety of our guests, crew, and the communities we visit remain the cornerstone of our plans and decisions. The patience and support of our customers and travel agents have been a great motivation for our team, which continues to work through this unprecedented situation, and we are dedicated to resuming operations when the time is right.”.
