Due to the ongoing development of the Covid-19 crisis in many of the countries where we operate, the restrictions imposed by various government and port authorities, and the safety measures we have implemented since January, we are forced to adjust or cancel some of our itineraries.
These decisions reflect the situation as it continually evolves. We are in contact with governments, health authorities, and local authorities to monitor any developments and will continue to adjust our operations as frequently as necessary to protect the health of our guests and crew members. However, it is worth noting that as of today, the majority of our fleet continues to operate as planned, and we have not had any cases of COVID-19 on our ships.
Cruises in the Emirates:
In the Emirates, due to a restriction on passenger movement imposed by local authorities, we are cancelling MSC Bellissima and MSC Lirica cruises from March 14th, including the MSC Bellissima Grand Voyages on March 21st and the MSC Lirica Grand Voyages on April 18th.
Mediterranean Cruises:
In the Mediterranean, due to movement restrictions imposed by the Italian government, disembarkation, embarkation, and transit are not currently possible. Consequently, we are adjusting the itineraries of MSC Grandiosa and canceling MSC Opera cruises from March 10 to April 21.
For both programs, as well as for other minor changes, all the details are available in the table below. Please note that we may need to make further adjustments as the situation evolves.
For cruises we are forced to cancel, we will offer our guests a voucher equivalent to the value of the canceled cruise, which can be used for any future sailing departing before the end of 2021, plus an onboard credit of €100 per cabin for canceled cruises of up to 6 nights and €200 for cruises of 7 nights or more. For the cancellation of the MSC Bellissima Grand Voyage Dubai-Yokohama and MSC Lirica Grand Voyage Dubai-Venice only, we will offer an onboard credit of €400 per cabin. This credit is refundable, valid for any time of year, and can be combined with any existing promotion.
