Scarlet Lady, Virgin Voyages' first cruise ship, has left the Fincantieri shipyards in Genoa and is heading towards Dover and Liverpool, where it will be presented before setting sail for Miami, its home port, where it will make two more presentation cruises before beginning its journey on April 1.

This 110,000-ton ship, 278 meters long and with a capacity for 2,770 passengers and 1,160 crew members, defines itself as "rebellious luxury" and is exclusively for adults. Among its amenities are a tattoo studio and numerous restaurants included in the price, featuring a cutting-edge, club-like aesthetic. However, the ship does not offer a buffet to avoid food waste. A second ship, the Valiant Lady, is being built in the same shipyards and will be launched next year, with Barcelona and the Mediterranean as its home port.
