Madrid, January 23, 2020 - Pullmantur Cruises - the only shipping company on the market that brings the Spanish lifestyle to the way of traveling on a cruise - brought together yesterday its main partners from Spain, Portugal and Latin America during the traditional evening that the company organizes coinciding with the celebration of FITUR.

This event – one of the company's most important annual gatherings – brought together around 140 people, including representatives from tour operators and travel agents, as well as airlines.
Officials from Panama and Colombia, countries where Pullmantur Cruises' Caribbean homeports of Cartagena de Indias and Colón are located, were also in attendance. Among them were Panama's Minister of Tourism, Iván Eskildsen, and Colombia's Vice Minister of Tourism, Julián Guerrero.
Alongside them were the President & CEO of Pullmantur Cruises, Richard J. Vogel; the Corporate Commercial Director, Alejandro Páez; the Commercial Director for Spain and Portugal, Eugenio Gijón, as well as the sales force.
During his speech, Richard J. Vogel recalled the announcement that marked last year: the arrival of a new ship to the fleet in 2021; “the first step in our strategic plan for future growth, destined to make Pullmantur Cruises the most successful cruise line of all time in Spain and Latin America.”
Likewise, Vogel stated that “we are very proud to be the only real option on the market for people looking to have an excellent vacation on a cruise designed - from start to finish - according to the Spanish and Latin lifestyle and with a real all-inclusive experience.”.
Awards afternoon: Pullmantur Cruises won the Excelencias Gourmet Award 2019 and was a finalist in the III Responsible and Sustainable Tourism Award
Hours before the evening, the company received the Excelencias Gourmet 2019 Award for Pullmantur Gastrolab, its innovative gastronomic platform.
This award, given by the Excelencias Group with the aim of promoting excellence in different areas related to tourism, gastronomy and culture in Latin America, recognizes the shipping company's commitment to innovation and the constant improvement of its gastronomic offering.
Furthermore, Pullmantur capped off the afternoon by being a finalist in the III Responsible and Sustainable Tourism Award –organized by the InterMundial Foundation – in the category of transport operators, tourism products and services.
