The campaign pays tribute to the countless elements of the sea, highlighting its role both as a means of transport to reach new places and landscapes, and as a way to enhance the travel experience. 'The Sea at Its Most' focuses on MSC Cruises' promise to offer passengers a world of discovery, which will be conveyed through a global, multi-channel marketing campaign including television, outdoor advertising, print, digital, and social media.

Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises, said: “With our new campaign, in which we have once again partnered with the maestro Ennio Morricone, who has written an original song for this initiative, we wanted to pay tribute to the wonders of the sea and show how we can help our passengers discover the world in a unique way aboard our modern cruise ships. As a global brand welcoming more than 180 nationalities on our ships, we are appealing to curious travelers who are looking for ways to experience new cultures and new adventures. We hope this will inspire new passengers to discover what we have to offer.”

With a 300-year maritime history, MSC Cruises has maintained a special relationship with the sea and a strong commitment to protecting and conserving the oceans. It is this passion and respect for the seas that inspired the company so many years ago and continues to drive each of its innovations. The 'The Sea at Its Most' campaign reflects this connection and invites current and future passengers to discover it together.

Gianni Onorato also explained: “This tribute to the sea comes at an important time for our company, as this month we became the first major global cruise line to achieve carbon neutrality during maritime operations. This is a significant step in our commitment to zero emissions, and part of our communications this year will focus on educating guests and travel partners about the efforts we are making to minimize and continuously reduce our environmental footprint.”.

The new television campaign was made possible by award-winning British director Stuart Douglas and was filmed aboard the MSC Bellissima as it cruised the Mediterranean. Douglas skillfully showcases the sea in its most inviting, adventurous, curious, spectacular, delightful, magical, and unforgettable form through stunning cinematography, with the ship serving as a breathtaking backdrop.

MSC Cruises has also partnered with the virtuoso and legendary composer Ennio Morricone to create an original score for its new television campaign. Maestro Morricone composed a new and exclusive musical work entitled 'The Sea at its Most' specifically for the campaign, recorded with his orchestra live in Rome earlier this year. Showcasing his artistic mastery and musical versatility, the song manages to be romantic and emotive in its composition, yet contemporary and dynamic in its style. Combined with a visually powerful brand world, the song elevates the campaign and helps accentuate the brand's storytelling in an inspirational way like never before. The track can be downloaded for Android devices here and Apple devices here.

MSC Cruises' new campaign comes amidst the expansion of the world's fastest-growing cruise line as part of an unprecedented 10-year investment plan launched in 2017. This plan will enable the launch of 13 next-generation cruise ships by 2027. The debut of Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, the company's private island, has also been a significant milestone for MSC Cruises and has served to reinforce its connection with the sea and nature. This one-of-a-kind destination in The Bahamas offers endless panoramic views of crystal-clear waters and more than three kilometers of pristine coastline spread across eight white-sand beaches, allowing passengers to connect with the natural environment and its beauty.

Preview of the first episode of the 'First Dates Cruise' program from Mediaset Spain

MSC Cruises took advantage of this launch event to air a preview of the first episode of 'First Dates Cruise,' the world's first cruise ship version of 'First Dates,' which premieres tonight at 10:40 p.m. on Cuatro. Filming took place aboard the MSC Bellissima. After hosting more than 5,000 dates in its daily version, the format leaves the restaurant and embarks on this modern ship to facilitate encounters between people looking for love and, if sparks fly, to go beyond their first date and see the first steps of their budding relationship.

In 'First Dates Cruise,' viewers will get a complete view of all the participants, seeing them in various situations and on their dates: from pre-date jitters, expectations, and preparations for their first encounter… to everything that happens afterward. Because if their first date in the ship's restaurant ends with a "yes," the singles can continue getting to know each other in a second meeting that takes place in a fun and relaxed atmosphere: from an excursion at one of the ports of call on the Mediterranean cruise (Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Naples, Messina, and Malta) to a relaxing moment by the pool, an activity in one of the ship's luxurious facilities, or even inside their cabins, including a duplex with a jacuzzi on the private balcony.
