After six weeks in dry dock at the Blohm+Voss shipyards in Hamburg, the Prinsedam has emerged as Amera to join the Phoenix Reisen fleet.
This is a 38,000 gross tonnage vessel with a capacity for 800 passengers that operated for Holland America Line after having served as the Royal Viking Sun and later as the Seabourn Sun. The German company Phoenix Reisen has significantly increased its capacity in recent years and currently operates the Albatros, Amadea, and Artania, in addition to the Deutschland, and several river cruise ships.
