Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has appointed Peter Deer as its new Managing Director, replacing Mike Rodwell, who will retire at the end of August after 30 years with the company.
Deer joined Fred. Olsen in 1993 and has held various positions within the company, starting as an accountant. Since 2004, he has served as Commercial Director, a position that will remain vacant while the company searches for a new candidate.
Peter Deer said, “We have a first-class team, both on land and on board, dedicated to providing fabulous holidays, and I am proud to lead the way for Fred. Olsen Cruises.”
Mike Rodwell said he was pleased that Peter Deer would be his successor, as “Peter has been involved in all areas of the business and has made significant contributions to our operations and product development, helping us to increase our fleet to the current five ships, expanding both the ocean and river markets.”.
