The new and improved offering features 112 local performances, many of which are designed exclusively for Silversea guests by expert artists, allowing guests to delve deeper into world cultures and immerse themselves in destinations in a meaningful way.
For travelers seeking authentic cultural experiences, Silversea's regional entertainment program literally brings the destination on board, showcasing the history, traditions, and spirit of the people and places visited on voyages around the world. From Caribbean drummers to Cambodian Aspara dancers, Spanish flamenco experts, and Italian musical ensembles, guests will enjoy performances by local dancers, musicians, and vocalists. Aboard the Silver Muse, Silver Wind, Silver Whisper, Silver Shadow, Silver Spirit , and Silver Cloud, most guests on voyages of 10 days or more will enjoy a local performance in addition to the regular entertainment program.

J4 Quartet in New York, USA: The J4 Quartet, whose members Khari Joyner, Jeremy Kienbaum, Hikaru Yonezaki, and Julia Glenn met while studying at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York, performs music from nearly every stylistic period, including Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary. Each member also maintains a very active career as a soloist and teacher, with engagements both in the United States and internationally.
From Montreal to Charleston, South Carolina: Guests traveling aboard Silver Wind between Montreal and Charleston will enjoy a performance by the J4 Quartet in New York City. Beginning October 29, 2019, the 12-day voyage will call at Quebec City, Charlottetown (Prince Edward Island), Sydney (Nova Scotia), Halifax (Nova Scotia), Bar Harbor (Maine), Boston (Massachusetts), Cape Cod, and New York City before arriving in Charleston.
Bacchelli Ensemble in Livorno, Italy: The Bacchelli Ensemble, an acclaimed musical and cultural association whose performances have been broadcast on Italian television, presents an inspiring repertoire spanning genres from Baroque to Classical, from opera to operetta, from 19th-century Viennese tradition to popular music and film scores. The works of Tuscan composers Pietro Mascagni and Giacomo Puccini resonate particularly strongly with the ensemble.
From Rome to Monte Carlo: The Bacchelli Ensemble will perform in Livorno for the guests of this Venetian Society sailing between Rome (Civitavecchia) and Monte Carlo, departing on September 29, 2019. On a 9-day voyage, the Silver Spirit will stop in Sorrento, Amalfi, Palermo (Sicily), Alghero (Sardinia), Livorno (Tuscany) and Portofino, before arriving in Monte Carlo.
Monaco Brass in Monte Carlo, Monaco: Monaco Brass, a 12-piece percussion and brass ensemble, hails from the venerable Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, Monaco's premier orchestra. The celebrated ensemble performs annually at a variety of festivals and concert halls with a repertoire spanning from the Renaissance to the 20th century, including jazz and film music.
From Barcelona to Athens: Departing from Monte Carlo on July 20, 2019, Monaco Brass will delight guests aboard the Silver Whisper. Starting July 18, 2019, this 12-day voyage between Barcelona and Athens will stop in Marseille, Monte Carlo, Cinque Terre (Portovenere), Sorrento, Syracuse, Valletta, Hydra (Pahang), and Santorini, before arriving in Athens on July 30, 2019.
Authentic Flamenco in Palma de Mallorca and Seville, Spain: Authentic Flamenco, a group of artists who have graced the stages of the Seville Flamenco Biennial, a world-renowned flamenco festival, presents the Spanish art of flamenco. This cherished tradition of song, dance, and music, which has earned a place on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list, will also be showcased in other Spanish ports by other artists, such as pianist Sergio Monroy in Cádiz and Raza Flamenco in Barcelona. And the Portuguese fado singing genre, also a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, is combined with flamenco for a unique spectacle during stops in Lisbon.
From Barcelona to Lisbon: This 9-day voyage between Barcelona and Lisbon will include an Authentic Flamenco performance in Palma de Mallorca on August 12, 2019. After departing from Barcelona on August 10, 2019, Silver Shadow will visit Palma de Mallorca, Valencia, Malaga, Cadiz, and Portimão before arriving in Lisbon.
Alaska String Band in Juneau, Alaska: This award-winning family of musicians, who have appeared on US public television, showcases the best of American music with an impressive collection of instruments ranging from acoustic guitar to fiddle, mandolin, and banjo. Featured genres include swing, jazz, rock, pop, folk, and bluegrass.
From Vancouver to Seward (Anchorage, Alaska): The Alaska String Band will perform for Silversea guests in Juneau on August 11, 2019. This 7-day voyage aboard the Silver Muse (departing August 8, 2019) between Vancouver and Seward (Anchorage, Alaska) will travel through the Inside Passage, before stopping in Ketchikan (Alaska), Juneau (Alaska), Skagway (Alaska), Sitka (Alaska) and Hubbard Glacier (Alaska).
