Miami, January 8, 2019 – Oceania Cruises, the Upper Premium brand of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd., today announced the construction of two new Fincantieri SpA ships to be delivered in 2022 and 2025.
“This new class will represent an evolution of the Oceania Cruises experience with all the elements our guests are looking for: a warm, intimate, and residential style; the most spacious standard staterooms; incredible suites; and of course, the best cuisine at sea,” said Bob Binder, President and CEO of Oceania Cruises.
The two Allura-class ships, each displacing 67,000 tons, will have a capacity of approximately 1,200 guests. This new class of midsize cruise ships will retain the design elements and features of the award-winning Marina and Riviera, while offering guests an added level of comfort and many luxurious new amenities.

The contract price for each of the two vessels is approximately €575 million. The company has secured loans on favorable terms to finance 80 percent of the contract price for each vessel, subject to certain approvals from the Italian government.
