Barcelona, January 7, 2019 – MSC Cruises, the world's largest privately owned cruise company, bid farewell this morning to the passengers embarking aboard the MSC Magnifica for what will be the Swiss company's first round-the-world voyage. More than 120 Spaniards are participating in this journey, which includes passengers from numerous countries.

Of these nine influencers from around the world, each will navigate a different segment of the cruise and capture experiences for their fans to follow along on this journey of discovery. They will create stories inspired by the "human-made" concept, meeting and interacting with local people in the 32 countries the ship will visit, celebrating global culture. They will also speak with the wonderful crew members on board and share unique experiences.
MSC Magnifica will also take its passengers on a journey through the flavors of the world, thanks to a roster of internationally renowned chefs who will bring their expertise on board for unique culinary experiences, creating dishes that reflect the destinations they are sailing to. This includes chefs who have held—or currently hold—three, two, and one Michelin stars, Chef of the Year awards, authors of award-winning cookbooks, and recipients of other prestigious culinary accolades. During these exclusive dinners, the chefs will visit passengers between tables as they enjoy their dishes. Among the chefs are:

MSC Cruises chefs will also delight the palates of passengers who will be able to sample an unprecedented number of dishes: 237 menus for the main restaurants, including themed dishes related to the ship's itinerary, and those served in the Sahara Buffet.
