New establishments have joined “Castellón Cruise Friendly.” This quality seal, promoted by Castellón Cruise Club, aims to provide excellent service to cruise passengers arriving at the port of Castellón. Ten restaurants and the Central Market of Castellón itself have now joined the initiative, bringing the total number of participating establishments to 50 since its inception earlier this year.

This was reported during the last meeting of Castellón Cruise Club, an entity in which the Castellón City Council, Castellón Provincial Council, Valencian Tourism Agency, Chamber of Commerce, Aerocas, University of Castellón, PortCastelló Foundation and the Castellón Port Authority itself participate.
Castellón Cruise Club has decided to extend the deadline to June 15th for businesses and establishments in the city that wish to join the initiative. Those interested should contact the tourism department of the Castellón Chamber of Commerce. From this date, the Castellón City Council will produce a map that will be distributed for the first time to British tourists aboard the Saga Sapphire cruise ship, which will visit the port of Castellón on Wednesday, August 1st.
The map will include all establishments participating in the campaign along either of the two routes: the gastronomic route or the shopping route. The Central Market of Castellón is joining the project, as it is a magnificent showcase of the quality of local products and has proven to be an essential stop for tourists visiting Castellón.
All businesses incorporated into “Castellón Cruise Friendly” meet the established requirements, such as having Wi-Fi, English-speaking staff, menus and menus also in English, as well as accepting credit cards as a means of payment.
To enhance this quality service, the Chamber of Commerce will offer free English language training courses for those interested in improving their skills. Similarly, two free training sessions on 'Tax Free' management have been scheduled for May 28th and 29th, so that businesses can learn all the specifics of completing this type of form.
For its part, the Valencian Tourism Agency of the Valencian Government will utilize “Cruise Street Assistants” for the August 1st stopover. A team of 10 people will be on hand to assist cruise passengers with any questions at various points in the city center and the maritime district, reinforcing Castellón's reputation as a welcoming port and city committed to tourism.
Passengers will be surveyed upon their return to the dock about the service provided and the city's attractions, which will help improve tourist services. All these initiatives are part of the strategy promoted by the Port Authority of Castellón to position the Port of Castellón among the best for cruise passenger service.
