In its quest to enable its ships to navigate shallow stretches of rivers such as the Loire in France, the Elbe in Germany, and the Vltava in the Czech Republic, CroisiEurope has made a significant investment in equipping its vessels with a paddlewheel propulsion system. Powered by two diesel engines, this system meets the latest environmental protection standards and ensures low noise levels. Combined with the ships' shallow draft, this technological challenge makes CroisiEurope the only river cruise company capable of operating on these waterways.
The MS Loire Princese (2015) uses a paddlewheel propulsion system and sails the Loire River between Saint-Nazaire and Angers. It accommodates 96 passengers and 24 crew members and offers every comfort on board: a large lounge bar with a dance floor and dining area, a piano bar with television, a library and terrace, a spacious Sun Deck with a bar, two jacuzzis and sun loungers, a boutique, a medical center, and an elevator. Air conditioning is available throughout the ship. For added comfort, the vessel is equipped with anti-roll stabilizers.
The MS Elbe Princesse (2016), a paddlewheel cruiser sailing the Elbe River from Berlin to the heart of Prague, has 40 cabins and can accommodate up to 80 passengers. It offers a lounge/bar with large windows and a dance floor, a public terrace, a restaurant large enough to serve all passengers in a single service, a spacious sundeck with lounge chairs, and a boutique. Air conditioning is available throughout the ship and in every cabin.
The paddlewheel MS Elbe Princesse II , scheduled for 2018, will sail the Elbe River from Berlin to the heart of Prague. It features 45 cabins and can accommodate up to 86 passengers, offering a lounge/bar with large windows and a dance floor, a public terrace, a restaurant capable of serving all passengers in a single service, a large sundeck with lounge chairs, and a boutique. Air conditioning is available throughout the ship and in every cabin
The MS Déborah (2016), a new barge sailing the Loire River. It is a former cargo vessel converted into an exclusive cruise ship for families or small groups, accommodating 22 passengers in its 11 cabins, as well as a spacious lounge with a bar, restaurant, terrace with sun loungers and parasols, barbecue deck, jacuzzi at the bow, and bicycles available on board.
The MS Miguel Torga (2016) is the fifth ship to join the fleet sailing the Douro River, with capacity for 132 passengers in its 66 double cabins (including 4 suites) with individual air conditioning. It features a panoramic lounge and restaurant, a boutique, a large deck with sun loungers, and a 24-meter swimming pool to provide maximum comfort in the common areas. The crew consists of 32 professionals who attend to passengers' needs with meticulous attention and the utmost care.
The RV African Dream (2017), sailing through Chobe National Park and the region's most beautiful meanders, features eight outside cabins and can accommodate up to 16 passengers. Onboard amenities include a sundeck with 360° views, perfect for complete immersion in nature; an intimate sundeck with an outdoor jacuzzi for relaxation; and a panoramic restaurant and lounge where you can enjoy the scenery and delicious cuisine. A truly luxurious way to experience the exotic surroundings.
CroisiEurope has also renovated some of its ships, incorporating them into its Premium fleet to meet the needs of its increasingly affordable luxury clientele. The MS Douce France and MS Symphonie underwent a complete refurbishment in 2017 and now feature modern and elegant décor, as well as larger, brighter spaces with expansive windows, for greater comfort on their Rhine and Danube itineraries. These ships have been renamed MS Symphonie II (Danube) and MS Douce France II (Rhine).
Similarly, the MS Renoir and MS Van Gogh will be completely renovated in 2018 and their interior spaces will be redesigned, thus providing greater comfort for their customers, becoming two Premium ships, following the line of the latest generation vessels.
