It will be based in Barcelona and will run seven-night cruises in the Mediterranean during its inaugural season.
It is the fourth ship in the Oasis class and the most innovative in the company.
Royal Caribbean Cruise Line today unveiled Symphony of the Seas, its newest Oasis-class ship, in the port of Malaga. The vessel, the 25th in the fleet, will be based in Barcelona and will offer seven-night cruises throughout the season.
“Spain is key for Royal Caribbean and proof of this is that the company has chosen this country as the base for the Symphony of the Seas, a ship that is in itself the most amazing spectacle at sea,” said Belén Wangüemert, Associate Vice President and General Manager of Royal Caribbean for the Eurozone.
The Symphony of the Seas brings together the amenities that have made Royal Caribbean's Oasis class famous, but also incorporates new features such as delectable dining options, breathtaking air, ice, and water shows, as well as The Ultimate Family Suite, the most complete family suite at sea. It will also feature Hairspray, one of Broadway's most acclaimed musicals. These exclusive experiences will join the already famous Bionic Bar served by robots, the iconic Aqua Theater, and The Ultimate Abyss, the tallest slide at sea.
The Symphony of the Seas will be offering seven-night Mediterranean cruises from April to October, based in Barcelona (Spain) with stops in Palma de Mallorca (Spain), Provence (France); Florence/Pisa, Rome and Naples (Italy).
