The MSC Orchestra, Poesis and Musica will install flue gas scrubbers during their next dry dock maintenance stop.
The chosen hybrid scrubbers will be supplied by LAB, a CNIM Group company, as STX France recommended this option after conducting a study, according to the French marine news website MeretMarine. Other MSC Cruises ships that have installed scrubbers use the Yara Marine Systems solution.
The MSC Orchestra will be the first to install the scrubber, during its stop in the new dry dock in Marseille. The MSC Poesia and MSC Musica will follow suit in 2018 and 2019.
