During the week of October 30th to November 5th, the Port of Malaga will receive approximately 20,000 passengers aboard 16 cruise ships, mostly belonging to exclusive companies that are drawn to the proximity of the docks to the historic center of the capital, as well as the service of the port infrastructure and the wide range of offerings in the destination.
October 31, November 3 and 5 will be key days for cruise activity, as 5 ships will be in port each of those days.

While in 2016, exclusive ship companies made a total of 80 calls at the port, the forecast for the current year is to reach 93 visits, continuing the upward trend.
Cruise traffic forecast 2017
The Port of Malaga experienced a very positive evolution in relation to cruise traffic between January and August of this year, positioning it as the port with the highest percentage growth among the main Spanish cruise ports, with an increase of 17.4% and 21% in the number of passengers and port calls, respectively.
The forecast for the last four months of the year continues this upward trend, as the Port of Malaga expects to receive 131 calls between September and December 2017, which represents an increase of 18.4% compared to the same period of the previous year, with October being the busiest month of the year.
Therefore, the Port of Malaga expects to close the year with a further increase in cruise traffic, consolidating the trajectory of continuous growth that has been maintained in this sector since 2013.
