Madrid, October 3, 2017– Pullmantur Cruises – the only cruise line in the market offering a 100% Spanish product – presented its sub-brand Pullmantur Cruises Exclusive Destinations 2018 during an event called The Journey of the Senses. The company also shared details of its project aimed at presenting content in a more experiential and innovative way through a Virtual Tour, a Web App, and 360° videos.

The event was attended by Richard J. Vogel, President & CEO of Pullmantur Cruises, and Paco Roncero, the 2 Michelin Star Chef in charge of designing the cruise line's onboard gastronomic offering.
During the event, Richard J. Vogel stated that “ensuring our guests have a unique experience—both on land and on board—even before their journey begins is one of our top priorities.” He added, “Now,thanks to the new way we present content, they no longer have to wait until their vacation starts to find out what their stateroom, restaurant, or theater will be like.”
Regarding Pullmantur Cruises Exclusive Destinations 2018, Vogel has stated that its launch responds to our desire to "evolve and offer new alternatives and a differentiated product."
Chef Paco Roncero, for his part, acknowledged that it is a “great reward to contribute to making the gastronomic experience of Pullmantur Cruises passengers excellent.” He added that “the raw materials are fundamental, and the cruise line uses very high-quality products, which undoubtedly contributes to the final result.”
If he had to define what Pullmantur Cruises' gastronomic offering is like, for Roncero it would be "a menu with Spanish tradition but in which we have been able to apply different techniques to further enrich the dishes.".
Pullmantur Cruises Exclusive Destinations 2018
This sub-brand encompasses itineraries that invite passengers to experience their vacations—both on land and at sea—to the fullest. To achieve this, boutique ports—away from the usual tourist routes—have been selected, and passengers are offered the opportunity to participate in excursions and themed activities on board, depending on the itinerary.
Looking ahead to the next season, Pullmantur Cruises will feature two Exclusive Destinations: Expedition to the Arctic Circle and Secret Corners of the Mediterranean.
- 'Secret Corners of the Mediterranean': will take passengers to Mahón, where they can feel the Mare Nostrum and Ajaccio, with the crystal clear waters of Corsica, before arriving on the Italian peninsula and discovering Portovenere and its Cinque Terre; Piombino, and the medieval city of Siena, and Portofino where they can experience the Dolce Vita.
Guests will have access to specially selected gastronomic excursions and local experiences; they can discover 'those secret corners' by motorbike or soak up the Dolce Vita at elegant cocktails, themed parties, film nights and live musical performances that will be arranged for them.
Embarkation in Barcelona from September 22, 2018 to October 27, 2018. Zenith ship. 8 Days / 7 Nights.
- 'Expedition to the Arctic Circle': travelers will immerse themselves in the natural beauty of northern Norway, reaching the islands of Svalbard, within the Arctic Circle, the northernmost inhabited place on Earth and the realm of the polar bear. They will be captivated by the charm of Lofoten, the vibrant life of Tromsø, the magic of Honningsvåg, among other stops on this route, perfect for those seeking an unforgettable vacation.

Technology at the service of content
During the event, the shipping company also revealed details of its project aimed at presenting content in a more innovative and experiential way through its Virtual Tour, Web App and 360° videos.
- Virtual Tour: Through a navigable web experience, you can explore—in great detail and from every perspective—every room on the four ships that make up the Pullmantur Cruises fleet. This tour was created by combining thousands of 360° photographs.
- Web App: The content and experience of the Virtual Tour are now available on mobile devices. It's an alternative way to explore the cruise line's ships, using your smartphone's accelerometer instead of a mouse. It also features virtual reality functionality, so you can take the tour with any VR headset, experiencing it with greater immersion.
- 360° videos of some of the destinations served by Pullmantur Cruises. Available on both the Pullmantur Cruises website and their YouTube channel, these videos aim to help guests familiarize themselves with and explore the ports of call along the cruise line's routes before setting sail.

The shipping company has taken advantage of the Journey of the Senses to announce that it will operate again in the Canary Islands during the winter of 2018-2019, which would be the third consecutive season.
