The cruise ship Saga Pearl II has arrived at the Port of Huelva from Dover (United Kingdom), carrying over 400 British passengers and 270 crew members. The ship will remain docked until it departs for Ibiza.
As is tradition, since this is the first time this cruise ship has visited the Port of Huelva, the head of the Institutional Relations Area of the Port Authority of Huelva, Juan José Blanco, will present the captain of the vessel with a commemorative plaque for his visit.
Visitors, welcomed by the Alota entertainment group and a venenciadora (sherry pourer), received information and tourist brochures about the attractions of the city and province of Huelva, thanks to the collaboration of the Huelva City Council and the Provincial Tourism Board of the Huelva Provincial Council.
As usual, tourists will be able to travel to the city center using the shuttle bus service that the Port of Huelva has made available, from 9 a.m., when the first one is scheduled to leave, until 5 p.m., when the last one will return from the capital to the South Dock.
In addition to visits to the city of Huelva, some of the passengers have arranged different excursions to visit the Doñana park, the Riotinto mines, Bodegas El Condado, Seville and El Rocío.
This has been coordinated within the Huelva Cruise Network working group, where various institutions are represented, such as the Huelva City Council, the Tourism Board, the Chamber of Commerce and the Huelva Federation of Businessmen, the Port Authority of Huelva and various companies and organizations related to tourism.
The Saga Pearl II, belonging to the Saga company, flies the Maltese flag and is 164 meters long.
