The Port of Miami continues to make progress on the construction of a new $100 million cruise terminal (Terminal B) for Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, which will receive preferential use of the terminal.
The new Terminal B will be able to accommodate two megaships simultaneously, according to a resolution passed by Miami-Dade County. Norwegian Cruise Line, in turn, has agreed to 52 annual port calls with ships carrying more than 3,000 passengers using the facility. The agreement runs until September 2026 with an option to extend it for an additional five years, bringing the total to September 2031.
In the same resolution, the port renews the line's agreement with Terminal C and, in return, obtains a greater guarantee of minimum annual passengers from the cruise line.
Cruise Terminal J will continue to offer preferential berthing rights for Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises ships as part of the agreement.
