Winter Sea season will offer the most comprehensive range of winter cruises in the company's history. 2017 will mark a turning point for MSC Cruises with the entry into service of two new, state-of-the-art ships. MSC Meraviglia, the world's most modern ship, will arrive in Barcelona this summer and sail the Mediterranean throughout the season until April 2018. Starting in December, MSC Seaside, the company's most innovative ship, will sail the Caribbean, departing from Miami. In addition, MSC Cruises will have more ships sailing to South America and the Caribbean, and will add itineraries from Dubai so passengers can discover this popular region and enjoy a comfortable and hassle-free vacation with attractive Fly&Cruise packages.
Cuba and the Caribbean. Passengers wishing to visit the Caribbean to enjoy the sun year-round can choose from a wide variety of options, with five ships sailing the region: two departing from Miami (USA), one from Fort-de-France (Martinique) and Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe), and two more from Havana (Cuba), with over 80 departures to choose from during the season. MSC Seaside, “the ship that follows the sun,” will make its maiden voyage in December 2017 and offer its passengers a new way to experience the Caribbean Sea. With its stunning design, the ship will connect passengers to the sea through a 360-degree glass promenadeand panoramic elevators. MSC Seaside will offer two different 7-night itineraries, departing every Saturday from Miami.
The MSC Opera and MSC Armonia will continue to offer itineraries that include two or three days in the port of Havana, Cuba. For those wishing to extend their stay, two itineraries can be combined into a 14-night cruise, with stops in Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, Mexico, Belize, and Honduras.
MSC Fantasia will offer 7- or 14-night cruises through the southern Caribbean, departing from Fort-de-France (Martinique) or Guadeloupe. Its itinerary will allow visitors to explore the best of the French Antilles, discovering seven different islands.
Mediterranean. MSC Meraviglia, the new flagship of MSC Cruises, will set sail this year on its inaugural Mediterranean itineraries. The ship will depart every Friday from Barcelona on 7-day cruises. Designed as a “ship for all seasons,” passengers have a world of possibilities on board: from seeing one of the Cirque du Soleil at Sea shows and enjoying food and drinks in one of the many bars and restaurants to relaxing in an authentic Balinese spa.
For the first time, MSC Cruises will offer extended 10, 11, and 12-day Mediterranean cruises departing from Barcelona aboard the MSC Orchestra. These itineraries will allow passengers to enjoy the Mediterranean's greatest gems, including Athens, Corfu, Crete, Rome, Madeira, the Canary Islands, and Morocco.
Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sir Bani Yas. MSC Cruises will continue to offer its cruises to the United Arab Emirates, embarking in Dubai with weekly flights from Barcelona and Madrid. MSC Splendida will offer passengers state-of-the-art facilities, including the exclusive MSC Yacht Club.
All itineraries will include a stop at the beach oasis of Sir Bani Yas Island, boasting 36,000 square meters of golden sand beaches and access to a vast safari reserve, exclusively for MSC Cruises passengers on the day of the ship's call. In addition to this destination, the itineraries will also include stops in Abu Dhabi, the stunning city of Muscat (Oman), and the picturesque coastal town of Khor al Fakkan, as well as Doha (Qatar) and Bahrain, ports of call added last winter.
