The official handover of the ship took place on the morning of April 3rd. Those participating in the ceremony included His Eminence Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco, Archbishop of Genoa, who blessed the ship; Giovanni Toti, Governor of Liguria; Manfredi Lefebvre d'Ovidio, President of Silversea Cruises; and Giuseppe Bono, CEO of Fincantieri.
With 40,700 gross tons and a capacity to accommodate 596 passengers on board, Silver Muse represents an evolution and redefines the ultramodern ocean travel experience, maintaining the intimacy of small ships but with spacious suites, characteristic of the Silversea experience.
The new ship expands Silversea's fleet to nine vessels. Silver Muse will offer guests a greater number of large suites (Silver, Royal, Grand, and Owner's) and more connecting suites for families and friends. Silver Muse offers a welcoming blend of spaciousness, luxury, and comfort, along with a culinary experience featuring eight restaurants, providing the finest and most comprehensive bespoke dining experience at sea.
Among the ship's voluntary certifications, the "Green Star 3 Design" stands out. This is awarded to vessels designed, built, and equipped to prevent air and water pollution. Additionally, "COMF-NOISE A PAX" and "COMF-NOISE B CREW" certifications are awarded based on noise levels measured on board. The results have confirmed the exceptionally high level of comfort offered to passengers. A new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system was used on the Silver Muse to conduct all inspections with the shipowner and the Classification Society. This system defines all the necessary regulations for inspecting the various components of the vessel and uses tablets to track all events, all within the control panel.
