MSC Cruises today unveiled its new dining concepts, which will be available to guests on the MSC Meraviglia and MSC Seaside (the first models in a series of 11 new mega-ships that will enter service early this year, in June and December respectively).
One of the new dining concepts introduced by MSC Cruises is Flexi Dining, which allows guests to choose their preferred dinner time and change it daily on board at the ship's main restaurants. The Classic will remain available, offering two seating options per night for guests who prefer a specific table each evening and personalized service from the same server. In addition, MSC Yacht Club guests will also enjoy flexible dining times at the dedicated MSC Yacht Club restaurant, with the option to reserve a table in advance if desired.
Guests can enjoy a variety of casual dining options open 20 hours a day, offering a wide range of freshly prepared dishes. MSC Seaside, in particular, will feature two casual dining establishments, one of which will offer options specifically designed for families and with special seating for children.
Specialty restaurants are another highlight of MSC Cruises ships, offering guests the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of culinary specialties from around the world. To this end, the MSC Meraviglia and MSC Seaside will feature innovative "open kitchens" where guests can see, smell, and hear the chefs at work, transforming dining into a truly sensory experience. Select restaurants on the MSC Meraviglia and MSC Seaside will also offer a "Chef's Table," a dining concept designed for those seeking an authentic gastronomic experience.
Given the success and popularity of the Kaito Sushi Bar, proclaimed "The Best Sushi at Sea," which serves fresh fish, sashimi, and tempura, MSC Cruises will introduce a new Kaito Teppanyaki on board the MSC Meraviglia. This Asian cuisine with a modern twist allows guests to sit in special booths and watch the chefs cook on an open grill, bringing these delicious Japanese dishes to life right before their eyes.
Customers can choose their favorite cut of meat and watch as skilled chefs prepare their succulent dishes in the open kitchen of the authentic American steakhouse Butcher's Cut .
One of the most outstanding culinary offerings on MSC Seaside will be Roy Yamaguchi's Asian Market Kitchen . The three distinguished restaurants created by the innovative Japanese-American chef offer gourmet à la carte Asian specialties in an elegant setting with incredible ocean views, a Sushi Bar, and a Teppanyaki Grill, each providing an authentic Asian dining experience at sea.
At MSC Seaside you'll also find the exclusive Ocean Cay. This elegant establishment serves American-style fish specialties with a Mediterranean twist.
Chef Carlo Cracco (two Michelin stars) will also be creating special dishes for the menus of MSC Meraviglia, as well as for the Christmas and New Year's menus. Also on board MSC Meraviglia, award-winning French chocolatier and pastry chef Jean-Philippe Maury will be offering guests his incredible sweet creations. At Jean-Philippe Chocolat & Café, guests can watch an open workshop where chocolate specialties are prepared, while at Jean-Philippe Crêpes & Gelato , delicious treats can be enjoyed while relaxing on the ship's Mediterranean-style promenade.
Collaborations with chefs are part of MSC Cruises' initiative to offer international haute cuisine. MSC Cruises also collaborates with the renowned Chinese chef Jereme Leung, who has designed new and innovative culinary concepts tailored to the tastes of Chinese guests, which can be enjoyed on MSC Lirica.
