The Port of Castellón, through the PortCastelló Foundation, is participating in the Seatrade Cruise Global trade show in Fort Lauderdale, the world's largest event in the cruise industry, with 800 exhibitors from 93 countries and more than 11,000 trade visitors. This year, the Foundation is attending with the goal of achieving an average of ten cruise ship calls per year at the Port of Castellón within two years.
The manager of the PortCastelló Foundation, Miguel Rojo, and the entity's cruise manager, Susana Soria, are promoting the port-destination offer and holding working meetings at the fair to showcase the facilities of the Castellón port complex to shipping companies, highlighting its easy maneuverability and advantageous conditions to guarantee the success of the stop in Castellón.
This promotion is being carried out in conjunction with the work being done through the Cruise Committee, which since the beginning of the year has been working in collaboration with a consultancy specializing in the cruise industry to identify PortCastelló's strengths and begin to increase cruise traffic.
The president of the Port Authority of Castellón, Francisco Toledo, has highlighted the importance of consolidating the port as a stop of excellence for shipping companies and thus ensuring a diverse and year-round tourist offer for the city and province.
