The countdown has begun for the christening of MSC Meraviglia, which will take place in Le Havre, France, on June 3, 2017. Afterwards, the ship will arrive in Barcelona and will sail itineraries in the Western Mediterranean, starting on June 9, with weekly departures from the Catalan capital.
The MSC Meraviglia is one of four ships currently under construction and the first of 11 new state-of-the-art ships that will enter service in the next ten years.
MSC Meraviglia has been designed to become the company's flagship this summer.
Highlights of the ship include:
- Exclusive entertainment with Cirque du Soleil at Sea
- 12 distinct restaurants serving a wide variety of international cuisine, including five specialty restaurants
- Innovative accommodation to meet the needs of all passengers
- A Mediterranean-style promenade with bars, restaurants and shops, as well as the largest LED screen at sea broadcasting images and entertainment 24 hours a day.
