CroisiEurope, Europe's largest river cruise company, has received the Excellence Award for best river cruise company in 2016.
The Batel auditorium in Cartagena hosted the celebration of the tenth anniversary gala of awards that have become an unmissable event within the cruise industry.
The award was accepted by Iván Díaz, the company's communications manager in Spain, who wanted to thank all the users who voted for CroisiEurope as the best river tourism company and all the people who make up the CroisiEurope team without whom this award "would not have been possible".
For Tomás Fernández, Commercial Director of the company in Spain, this award represents "a reward for a year of hard work and an important means to give visibility to river cruises, a sector that is booming thanks to events such as the Excellence Awards.".
CroisiEurope has received the Excellence Award in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, and 2016. This year, awards were given in 13 categories, including the award for best river cruise company. CroisiEurope is the river cruise operator that has received this award the most times.
The ceremony brought together, as every year, the main executives of cruise shipping companies, cruise tour operators, shipping agents, ports and destinations, travel agents, press, collaborators, professionals and businesspeople from Cartagena and Murcia, and other suppliers in the sector.
The Cruise Excellence Awards are the result of a large-scale survey conducted among Spanish cruise passengers, which lends special value to the results, as they represent the passengers' own assessments. The first edition was held in Barcelona in 2008. The awards are a brand of Cruises News MediaGroup, organizer of the International Cruise Summit in Madrid and publisher of CruisesNews and TopRiver magazines.
