Norwegian Cruise Line has announced it will extend its weekly cruises from Miami to Cuba aboard the Norwegian Sky, the largest ship sailing to Cuba, through December 2017. Like the five May 2017 sailings already announced, these 25 additional sailings beginning in June 2017 include an overnight stay in Cuba's capital, Havana, rich in historical and cultural landmarks.
“We are thrilled to be the first cruise line to offer weekly cruises from Miami to Cuba through fall 2017 with an overnight stay in the beautiful city of Havana,” said Andy Stuart, President and Chief Executive Officer of Norwegian Cruise Line. “There has been tremendous demand from our guests, and we are delighted to offer more opportunities for them to experience this culturally rich destination on a weekly basis.”
The Norwegian Sky will depart every Monday from Miami for four-day cruises that include an overnight stay in Havana, the capital, as well as a stop at Great Stirrup Cay, Norwegian Cruise Line's private island in the Bahamas. The ship will dock in downtown Havana, offering the opportunity to visit historic sites such as Old Havana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Norwegian Sky cruises also include a stop at Great Stirrup Cay, a private island with white sand beaches and multiple water sports options and beach cabanas surrounded by abundant vegetation, available for rent for those guests in search of an even more exclusive experience.
