Navantia's Repairs division will close the current fiscal year in the Bay having had the best year in its history.
14 cruise ships have entered the various docks in the capital and Puerto Real, to undergo various repairs.
Furthermore, the repair of these ships has generated employment in the auxiliary industry, at a rate of approximately 250 workers per ship in Cádiz and slightly more than 300 in Puerto Real. In total, around 1,200 jobs.
On the 21st, another cruise ship, the Zenith, is expected to enter one of the docks in the capital. It will undergo various repairs, mainly external, for about three weeks, which will require the employment of about 300 auxiliary industry workers.
At the moment, the possibility of building one of these cruise ships in the Bay seems unattainable, since the large cruise companies have already selected their own shipyards years ago.
