The passenger figure, with 69,530 (according to provisional closing), also positions October as the second month with the highest number of tourists, after September of last year, which for the first time exceeded 70,000 cruise passengers.

The cumulative total through October reached 342,144 passengers and 240 stopovers, narrowing the gap with the same period last year, as expected. The number of passengers compared to October 2015 is now 4 percent lower, and the number of stopovers is down 6 percent.

If the forecasts are correct, 20 more cruise ships will arrive at the Port of the Bay of Cadiz in November and another 10 in December, bringing the total for 2016 to approximately 270 port calls.
