The Koningsdam cruise ship from Holland America, measuring 297 meters in length, will make its first stop at the Port of Huelva on Sunday, September 25th, with more than 2,600 passengers, according to initial forecasts, as well as more than 1,000 crew members on board.
Due to the importance of the arrival of this large ship and the high number of passengers it will bring to Huelva, the Port Authority of Huelva has stressed the need for greater involvement and collaboration from bars, restaurants and shops, with the aim of ensuring that tourists positively value the welcome and the services offered by the city.
The Port of Huelva is calling for increased involvement and effort from various administrations and business organizations that work together for cruise tourism in the Huelva Cruise Network working group.
The Port of Huelva has made a very positive assessment of the cruise ship calls it will receive this year, in which it has achieved a significant quantitative leap by reaching 17 cruise ship calls.
Thus, until the end of the year, the Port of Huelva plans to receive three more cruise ship calls, one in October, another in November and another in December.
