The company is introducing new products for families, such as the new DOREBRO sports program, innovative cooking classes with award-winning chef Carlo Cracco, and an exclusive LEGO® toy inspired by the company.
MSC Cruises, the world's largest privately owned cruise line based in Switzerland and a market leader in Europe, South America and South Africa, today announced new additions to its already rich family offering on board, including, among other surprises, the introduction of an innovative sports program for children, as well as interactive cooking classes, designed with award-winning chef Carlo Cracco.

Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises, commented: “As a family-owned company, from day one we have understood the importance of meeting the needs of families and their children on board our cruises and have focused on offering holidays that have all the elements to make them unforgettable. For this reason, children's activities and family-related services have always been at the heart of our offering, which has been strengthened and has become one of the most comprehensive in the industry.”.
Aboard its entire fleet, the most modern at sea, MSC Cruises offers a wide range of activities for families, including age-appropriate kids' clubs, daily entertainment for children and teenagers, special dining options, and modern and fun facilities such as water parks, bowling alleys, and 4D cinemas… All this, not to mention the shore activities designed to meet the needs of the whole family.
The new onboard entertainment offering this summer is the DOREBRO, designed especially for sporty children. Children aged 3 to 11 and teenagers aged 12 to 17 can participate in the program, which will be offered on most MSC Cruises ships sailing the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. Developed in collaboration with King's Active, the British company specializing in designing activities to inspire future sports stars, the program offers an exciting variety of games for all skill levels, divided into two daily sessions.
In addition, starting this summer, MSC Cruises has also introduced “DOREMI Chef by Carlo Cracco,” a cooking class designed in collaboration with the two-Michelin-starred chef Cracco. Led by MSC Cruises chefs and the onboard mascot DOREMI, children aged 3 to 11 will learn, among other recipes, how to make homemade pasta while putting numerous cooking tips into practice under the guidance of this world-renowned chef. At the end of the course, each child will receive an official mini-chef certificate signed by Carlo Cracco himself.
In addition to many other onboard entertainment options designed for children, MSC Cruises, in partnership with the LEGO Group, the world's leading toy manufacturer, will offer a wide range of onboard entertainment designed especially for children and exclusive to the MSC Cruises experience. As part of this partnership, the LEGO Group has launched a very special MSC Cruises toy featuring the design of the MSC Meraviglia, the new, state-of-the-art smart ship that will be launched in June 2017. This toy—already available in the onboard "Logo Shop"—will help children remember their MSC Cruises vacation in a fun and creative way.
Finally, MSC Cruises also offers a range of services for babies and toddlers, including the Mini Club for children under 3, as well as a dedicated childcare service for parents, allowing them to freely enjoy the cruise ship's amenities with the peace of mind that their children are being cared for by a highly trained and specialized staff. It is worth noting that most of these services are offered in partnership with Chicco® – a world-leading brand of baby products and another of MSC Cruises' exclusive partners.
