The TUI Discovery, the latest addition to the Thomson Cruises fleet, is currently in a floating dock in Cádiz as part of a refurbishment. The ship is scheduled to sail from there to Palma de Mallorca on June 5th before embarking on its maiden Mediterranean voyage on June 11th.
The TUI Discover is the largest ship in the Thomson Cruises fleet, measuring 264 meters long and 69,130 GT. It has a capacity of 1,830 passengers, 915 cabins (almost 40% with balconies), and spans 11 decks.
The exterior of the aircraft features a design that emulates that of the airline Thomson Airways.
This latest addition to the Discovery is part of the strategy to begin introducing the TUI brand to UK customers over the next 18 months.
TUI Discovery will also be the first ship in the fleet to offer an all-inclusive drinks package starting in summer 2017.
