The Port of A Coruña participated in the Cruise Europe Annual Conference, which brought together the continent's main Atlantic and Cantabrian ports in Dublin. This organization comprises over one hundred entities, including Spanish, Portuguese, French, British, Irish, Belgian, Dutch, Danish, Polish, and Scandinavian terminals.
Representatives from the world's leading cruise lines, such as Royal Caribbean, Carnival (which includes P&O and Cunard), Disney, and Fred Olsen, also attended the meeting. During the event, representatives from the Port Authority of A Coruña held several meetings with executives from these companies for the European region. The aim was to maintain commercial relationships with these companies and to present the competitive advantages and attractions of the destination to cruise lines that do not yet have a presence in the port.
Cruise Europe's objective is to advance common strategies and leverage synergies between Atlantic European ports, thereby promoting these destinations as an alternative to Mediterranean ports.
In 2015, A Coruña received around one hundred port calls, carrying more than 140,000 passengers. The schedule for this year points to similar figures, and all indications are that these forecasts will be met.

Regarding the Atlantic ports that are part of Cruise Europe, discussions were held concerning future alliances similar to the one already signed with the Port of Porto, with which joint growth strategies are being developed to benefit both ports.
