Barcelona-El Prat Airport has launched a special check-in procedure for cruise passengers.
This operation, which will last until October 30, will allow these users to check their luggage in the intermodal hall of terminal T1 enabled only for this function, as reported today by Aena.
To expedite access to the boarding area, Air France-KLM and British Airways have fourteen exclusive check-in counters for passengers arriving in Barcelona by cruise ship and subsequently departing by plane.
Passengers arriving at the Port of Barcelona who request the service in advance will have access to special coaches that will take them directly to the airport's intermodal lobby.
Passengers arriving in Barcelona by plane to then board Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas, who have previously requested the service, can check in their luggage, collect their boarding passes in the Intermodal Hall of Terminal T1 and Terminal T2, and be transferred to the port.
During the past year, nearly 9,000 cruise passengers used this special service, with August and October being the busiest months.
