Tourists from the cruise ship "Ovation of the Seas" have disembarked in Gijón. The ship, which sailed from England, docked at El Musel port, leaving thousands of tourists in the city, who will spend the day in Gijón and the surrounding area.
The ship, belonging to Royal Caribbean International, is sailing from Southampton to Bilbao. This is the third voyage for this newly launched vessel, built in German shipyards and a sister ship to the "Anthem of the Seas," which visited Gijón last year. It is notable for its size (348 meters in length, 167,800 GT, and capacity for 2,304 crew members and 4,108 passengers) and is the second of 19 cruise ship calls scheduled this season at the Port of Gijón.
The cruise ship boasts 16 decks, 12 restaurants, 9 bars, and a wide array of luxury shops. Among its most notable facilities and activities are a skydiving simulator, allowing guests to experience the exhilaration and excitement of flying in a wind tunnel-like environment, a rock climbing wall, and a wave generator for surfing.
