The world's largest new cruise ship, owned by Royal Caribbean International (currently under construction), will arrive in Barcelona in less than 50 days.
The ship, which debuts this season, will offer 7-night Mediterranean cruises, with itineraries visiting major European ports and destinations such as Palma de Mallorca, Provence, Florence and Pisa, Rome, and Naples. It will also call at Málaga and Vigo.
The Harmony of the Seas, belonging to Royal Caribbean's Oasis class, has 16 decks, a gross tonnage of 227,000, capacity for 5,479 passengers at double occupancy, and 2,747 staterooms. It will also feature seven unique neighborhoods, including Central Park, Boardwalk, Royal Promenade, pools and Sports Zone, Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center, Entertainment Place, and Youth Zone. It will be the first Oasis-class ship to feature groundbreaking innovations combined with cutting-edge Quantum-class technology, such as the Bionic Barwith robot bartenders preparing cocktails, virtual balconies in interior staterooms, and VOOM, the fastest internet connection at sea.
Among other activities and shows, the Harmony of the Seas will include Splashaway Bay, an interactive water park for children, as well as multiple attractions for adults such as the tallest slide at sea with a 33-meter drop (The Ultimate Abyss), and The Perfect Storm, a trio of water slides that will make this cruise an experience that will exceed all expectations next summer.
