Harmony of the Seas, the first of a new generation of ships

  • The ship features the most representative areas of Royal Caribbean's Quantum and Oasis class ships, along with the most advanced technology.
  • It will be inaugurated next spring in Barcelona, where it will be based throughout the 2016 season

Royal Caribbean International is expanding and enhancing the at-sea experience with the arrival of Harmony of the Seas, the world's largest cruise ship. It combines the best of the Quantum Class (cabins with virtual balconies, cutting-edge technology, spectacular venues, and the finest restaurants ever seen) and the Oasis Class (seven incredible neighborhoods filled with experiences, the AquaTheater, performances of hit musicals, Central Park, zip lines, a surf simulator, exclusive shops, and much more). Harmony of the Seas will also feature Splashway Bay, an interactive water park for children, and attractions for older guests, including The Ultimate Abyss, the tallest water slide at sea with a 33-meter drop, and The Perfect Storm, a trio of water slides that will complete the exciting selection of activities making this cruise an experience that will exceed all expectations next summer.

The Harmony of the Seas will be inaugurated in Barcelona next spring, its home port only during 2016, from where it will make 5 and 7 night cruises to Mediterranean waters, making itineraries through the most important ports of Europe visiting places such as Palma de Mallorca, Provence, Florence and Pisa, Rome and Naples.

Splashaway Bay Water Park will be a vibrant aquatic escape for young and old alike, who will enjoy water cannons, slides, a giant cube, and a jungle-inspired multi-platform gym that will keep everyone entertained for hours. Guests of all ages will have a thrilling adventure on the Ultimate Abyss, a 10-story drop slide that travels from the pool and sports area to the Boardwalk, as well as on the three slides that make up The Perfect Storm: Cyclone, Typhoon , and Supercell.

The Harmony of the Seas will be the first Oasis-class ship to feature revolutionary innovations combined with cutting-edge Quantum-class technology, such as the Bionic Bar, with robots preparing cocktails on the Royal Promenade, virtual balconies in interior staterooms with real-time views of the sea and port, VOOM, the fastest internet connection at sea, and WoWBands wristbands, which allow passengers to connect with Royal Caribbean experiences, make restaurant reservations, access their staterooms, or make any purchase on board thanks to RFID technology.

It will also feature the best culinary offerings, including the new specialty restaurants: Izumi Hibachi & Sushi, Sabor Taqueria and Tequila Bar; as well as Wonderland Imaginative Cuisine, an environment where Royal Caribbean chefs will demonstrate all their creativity.

The Harmony of the Seas will feature 16 decks, a gross tonnage of 227,000, capacity for 5,479 passengers at double occupancy, and 2,747 staterooms. In addition, like other ships in the Oasis class, it will boast seven distinct neighborhoods, including Central Park, Boardwalk, Royal Promenade, pools and Sports Zone, Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center, Entertainment Place, and Youth Zone.

In addition, since last Monday, the company has launched the best promotions aimed at families with children, offering free* and up to 25% off**.
